Fairview High School

Students made several stops today as they learned about options in the diesel mechanics field in Cullman County. The first stop was Community Auto Repair where students spoke with shop managers and mechanics (one former Fairview graduate) about the industry and many ways they can start a career. The next stop was to Wallace State Community College where we visited the diesel mechanics program, talked to students and teachers involved in the program, and learned about scholarship opportunities. After a quick lunch, we met with Lauren Britton with TriGreen Equipment, and visited with a few more Fairview alumni that have gone through their apprentice and scholarship programs. We learned so much and gained valuable knowledge about the industry and opportunities available to our students. Thanks to everyone that helped to make today a success!
