Students


  • The deadline for Media Department applications is today, April 24.  If you are interested in becoming a member of Yearbook, AggieVision, or the new Journalism class you must have a completed application turned into Mr. Harbison. Staff from the 2014-2015 are also required to re-apply for the upcoming year.

  • We will be on activity schedule Friday for YOUnique Club Meeting.

  • Those who have signed up for Nerds Anonymous need to meet in Coach Black’s room today, during activity period.

  • Key club will have a brief meeting today during activity period in Ms. Hallmarks's room.

  • Spring Picture Orders are due by today, April 24th.

  • Senior Cap and Gown pictures will be April 28th starting at 9:30.  Boys need to wear a dress shirt and tie. For more information please see Mrs. Starnes or Mrs. M. Bryant.

  • Upcoming Senior Drape and Tuxedo pictures for the yearbook for the 2015/16 school year are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, May 12 & 13 at Sullivan's Photography. Juniors may begin scheduling appointment times Monday, April 20 during history classes.  Appointments and payments will be made with Mrs. Cook. The cost is $10 and must be paid by appointment date.  Access students do not forget to see Mrs. Cook about this!

  • Special Olympics is rescheduled for May 6th! Key Club is still selling William's Way bracelets to benefit Mrs. Branch's family. Each bracelet is $2.

  • CRMC is now taking applications for their volunteer program.  Students who will be 11th or 12th graders next year are eligible to apply.  See Mr. Gamble for an application.  Spots are limited.

  • Applications for Student Council Officer and Class Officer are on the FHS website. Applications are due before 5:00 pm on May 5, 2015.


Sports


  • Girls 4A/5A Section 3:  Monday April 27th at Chesley Oaks Golf Course

  • Girls Soccer at Sylacauga today for the 1st round of the playoffs.  Game at 5:30.

  • Mix it up with plant protein foods.

    • Variety is great! Choose beans and peas (such as kidney, pinto, black, or white beans; split peas; chickpeas; hummus), soy products (tofu, tempeh, veggie burgers), and unsalted nuts and seeds.
